Lillian Broedel Joins Empowered Pathways as Community Impact Coordinator

Empowered Pathways is pleased to welcome Lillian Broedel to the organization as Community Impact Coordinator.

Lillian joins Empowered Pathways with a strong background in community engagement, social justice, sustainability, and grassroots program development. A native of Central New York, she brings both professional experience and a deep personal commitment to strengthening communities throughout the Mohawk Valley region.

In her new role, Lillian will support the Community Dispute Resolution Center (CDRC) through volunteer coordination, community outreach, program development, training support, and partnership-building efforts. She will also assist with specialized ADR programming and support initiatives that expand awareness and access to restorative and mediation services throughout the region.

Lillian recently completed her Bachelor of Arts in Global Development and Sustainability with a minor in Social Justice at St. John’s University and is continuing her graduate studies in Global Development and Social Justice. Her academic and field experience has focused heavily on empowerment, participatory development, intercultural engagement, and community-centered solutions.

Her previous experience includes nonprofit development work, sustainability coordination, volunteer engagement, and direct community service. Through fieldwork in Ecuador and Puerto Rico, Lillian collaborated with local communities on participatory development initiatives and sustainability efforts, experiences that helped shape her commitment to restorative and community-based approaches to problem-solving.

“We are excited to welcome Lillian to Empowered Pathways,” said Executive Director Timothy Lyon. “Her passion for social justice, community engagement, and empowerment aligns strongly with our mission and the future direction of our programs. We look forward to the energy, perspective, and creativity she will bring to the organization.”

Empowered Pathways looks forward to the continued growth of its community outreach, volunteer engagement, and restorative programming efforts with Lillian as part of the team.
