Joanne Thompson Joins Empowered Pathways as Executive Assistant

Empowered Pathways is pleased to welcome Joanne Thompson to the organization as Executive Assistant.

Joanne brings extensive experience in executive support, operations, communications, and community engagement to the role. Prior to joining Empowered Pathways, she served as Executive Assistant at the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce, where she coordinated executive communications, managed events and outreach efforts, and supported organizational initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

In her role at Empowered Pathways, Joanne provides high-level administrative, communications, and operational support to the Executive Director and leadership team. Her responsibilities include coordinating agency communications and outreach, supporting program operations, assisting with event coordination, and helping strengthen internal systems and organizational effectiveness.

Joanne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Southern New Hampshire University and brings a strong background in organizational management, customer relations, marketing, scheduling, and team coordination. Her experience across nonprofit, financial, and community-facing organizations reflects a commitment to relationship-building, professionalism, and mission-driven service.
